Recently, a grandmother carried her 2 year old grandson into a Tyler, Texas sports bar that she and her husband (grandpa) owned. The kid wandered off, found a 9mm pistol and shot himself in the head. He survived, and not long after getting out of a Dallas hospital, the dad was spotted with the kid back in the bar. Child protection took custody of the kid.
The mother and dad are divorced and are now fighting for custody of the kid. The judge over the case said he didn't know how this case could get any worse but apparently it could.
The mother, now remarried, says that her ex-husband has had sex with multiple girls while the child was in the house and that there was a shotgun under the bed. She also says he has threatened to kill her.
The father of the kid says that the mother is a some-time stripper, works at a liquor store, and has a convicted sex offender in her house (her husband). The ex-husband knows this because the man is his cousin.
Grandpa is also facing charges of making a firearm accessible to a child.
What a story!
