Radisson LAX

I got a reservation at the Radisson LAX because it was listed as the closest one to the LAX airport. Imagine my surprise when the shuttle bus passed two hotels on the way to the Radisson. I'm waiting for the return shuttle trip in the morning to see if the airport is the first stop.

I really enjoyed standing in the really long line to check in. I've never seen such a line in a hotel before. Here it is, a Friday night at one of the busiest airports in the world, and there is one guy checking in customers. Four other computers stood lonely at the check in desk. I really liked the way the line snaked right by the automatic doors which stood open most of the time, allowing the rainy, cold, and windy weather to chill me to the bone.

While standing in line I heard a valet explain to a customer that he was the only valet on duty and she would have to wait.

Shortly before retiring I went down to the bar to get a Coke. The man next to me was talking to the bartender, "What do you mean the bar is closed? It's only 9 pm?"

I don't think I'll be back to this place!

Oh, I almost forgot about the Sleep Number bed in my room. I loved how they gave you a chance to test the bed before you purchased one.

I also loved how they had a little plastic tag with directions on how to use the bed. The problem is that the controls didn't work as advertised. However, there was a statement on the tag that said you could go online to their website for detailed directions. That's nice because I just shut my computer down as I was getting READY TO GO TO SLEEP!

And what were those loud popping sounds coming from my bed in the middle of the night?

I guess I learned two things. Stay away from Radisson and don't buy a Sleep Number bed.
